Lincoln Constitutional Club, Lincoln

Lincoln Constitutional Club is a substantial Grade II listed landmark occupying a prominent corner position at 18 Silver Street in central Lincoln. Designed by William Watkins and built by Otter & Co in 1895, the building is an elaborate example of Flemish Renaissance Revival architecture constructed in brick with terracotta detailing and slate roofs.Originally built as a constitutional club, the building provided reading, library, lecture and recreational accommodation. After the original club closed in 1996, it remained vacant for a prolonged period before accommodating nightclub, bar and restaurant uses. The building is currently vacant and remains identified by the Victorian Society as an endangered building. Its March 2026 update states that it continues to be advertised on the open market. The property is currently marketed by Fleurets as a freehold leisure property at £2,250,000. Current marketing describes a substantial late-night venue with four trading areas and approximately 19,500 sq ft GIA over three floors.
