GDPR Personal Data Consent Agreement – ConserveConnect

  • Operating the ConserveConnect platform

We do not sell, lease or repurpose personal data for unrelated third party marketing purposes.

4. Grant Support & Project Information

Users submitting Grant Support Requests or participating in heritage funding, conservation or project development services through ConserveConnect may provide additional project related information, including descriptions of heritage assets, conservation proposals, photographs, reports, surveys, budgets, planning information and other supporting documentation.

Such information may be processed internally by ConserveConnect for the purposes of:

  • Project assessment
  • Funding readiness review
  • Grant support services
  • Specialist coordination
  • Project development
  • Related conservation support activities

Some information submitted through Grant Support Requests may form part of a publicly visible project listing where users choose to publish project details publicly. Other supporting information may be retained privately for internal review, project management or specialist coordination purposes.

Unless expressly authorised by the user, confidential project documentation and non public supporting information submitted as part of grant support or project development services will not be publicly displayed on the platform.

Where necessary for the purposes of project support or specialist coordination, relevant information may be shared with carefully selected third party professionals, consultants or specialist organisations directly connected with the project. Such sharing will be limited to information reasonably necessary for project assessment, coordination or support activities.

ConserveConnect will take reasonable steps to ensure that project related information and supporting documentation are handled securely and in accordance with applicable UK GDPR and data protection requirements.

5. Public Listings & Visibility

ConserveConnect operates as a public directory and project platform. Certain information submitted through listings, service requests or project submissions may therefore be publicly visible depending on the type of submission and user preferences.

Users are responsible for ensuring that information they choose to publish publicly is appropriate for public display.

Where private or restricted project workflows are used, ConserveConnect will make reasonable efforts to distinguish between publicly visible information and privately managed project information.

6. Specialist Referrals & Third Party Services

ConserveConnect may introduce users to third party professionals, consultants, contractors, suppliers or specialist organisations connected with heritage, conservation and restoration activities.

Where information is shared with third parties for project support or coordination purposes, such sharing will be limited to information reasonably necessary for the relevant activity.

ConserveConnect is not responsible for the independent privacy practices, conduct or services of third party organisations or professionals operating outside the platform.

7. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for:

  • Operational purposes
  • Project coordination
  • Legal obligations
  • Platform administration
  • Legitimate conservation and heritage related activities

Users may request removal of listings, accounts or associated information subject to operational, contractual or legal requirements.

However, no online platform or electronic transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and users submit information at their own discretion and risk.
