Description

The National Lottery Heritage Fund is the largest dedicated funder of heritage projects in the United Kingdom. Using money raised by National Lottery players, the fund supports organisations, charities, trusts, local authorities, community groups and partnerships working to protect and celebrate heritage assets across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Funding is available for a wide range of heritage related activity including the repair and conservation of listed buildings, regeneration of historic public spaces, museum and archive projects, biodiversity and landscape initiatives, traditional building skills training and community engagement programmes.

Projects are expected to deliver clear public benefit, support long term sustainability and increase public access, participation or understanding of heritage. The fund also places emphasis on environmental responsibility, inclusion, skills development and organisational resilience.
