Millstone Restoration also undertakes traditional pointing using lime and coloured mortars, matching the joint style, colour and appearance of the existing building wherever possible. Its portfolio includes extensive restoration of Victorian brickwork as well as projects involving historic stonework and decorative architectural features.
For cleaning work, the company uses controlled specialist cleaning systems, including Thermatech, with temperature and pressure adjusted according to the condition and type of masonry. The aim is to clean historic brick and stone sensitively while minimising damage to the original fabric.
